My wife went outside to get into her car to go to work this morning and found my car open.
I just bought this car. It’s not even registered yet.
I have the insurance card, bill of sale, etc. sitting right here in front of me, to go to the DMV today to register this car. The guy I purchased it from delivered the car on Sunday (drove it here with his dealer plate). I was just waiting until the DMV is open today to register it.
That means I haven’t even driven this car yet.
And, already, it has been broken into, and the CD player stolen.

I called the police, and all they want to do is take a report over the phone.
I don’t get it.
I know if I owned a jewelry store downtown and someone broke in and stole $20,000 worth of diamonds, they’d be there investigating.
But, being some poor bloke on the edges of the hood, I get robbed, and all they do is take a report over the phone.
Those who do this stuff just get away with it!
Meanwhile, since moving here, my wife and, our housemates and neighbors have suffered thousands of dollars worth of damages and losses to our vehicles!

Writer's Block: My First Car

A 1971 Old Delta 88. It was gorgeous…that lovely 70s green…
I paid a whole $300 in cash for it, while studying at Purdue U.
You could have parked one of this cute little toyotas in the glove box.
Heck, a family of 4 could have lived comfortably in the trunk.
You could watch the fuel gauge dive on the highway.
It was plastered with Grateful Dead stickers (by me, of course).
I took it on Dead Tour summer of 91.
Those were the days…
